A Front Row Seat to Vision and Impact

A few weeks ago, our CEO, Sarah Powers, gave an impactful presentation to the girls of Rise. Rather than simplifying or tailoring her words, Sarah shared the exact same presentation she often gives to potential donors. It was raw, powerful, and most of all, gave the girls an open and honest look at the heart of Top Buttons and the significance of our mission. It left the room buzzing with anticipation.

Sarah walked them through statistics that show real need, stories of impact, and the driving vision that has shaped our organization’s work in the community. For many of the students, it was the first time they had been given such an in-depth, insider’s perspective. Sarah also previewed details about our upcoming fundraising event, Bloom with Grace, explaining the tour experience and highlighting the meaningful role the girls themselves will play in it.

What stood out most was the way the students engaged. Notebooks were open, pens moved across pages, and every eye stayed locked on Sarah as she spoke. They weren’t just hearing about the mission; they were being invited into it. As Rise students, they will be participating in the creative vision and facilitation of the event.

By including them in this level of conversation, Sarah reminded the girls that they are not only participants in Top Buttons’ fundraiser but also vital partners in shaping the future. That sense of value and belonging is at the core of what we hope to instill: confidence, purpose, and the belief that their voices matter.

We are so excited for the months ahead as plans unfold for the event and as the girls step into new opportunities to lead and shine. Mark your calendars and join us for October 7th as we share more about Top Buttons and our plans for the future! Want to hear more about the event? Click here!
