About the Founder

SARAH POWERS
Founder and CEO

Sarah Powers (Lakeland) is a writer, a speaker, a wife, and a mother to four children. She is the founder and CEO of Top Buttons. Top Buttons began out of her desire to help young women to have a positive view of themselves from the inside to the outside while inspiring and equipping them to pursue their god given purpose. TB fulfills it’s mission through the developed Programs of TB and partnerships with nonprofits around the community who serve young women between 11-25 years old, including PACE Center for Girls, Heartland for Children, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America, One More Child, New Beginnings High School and dozens of others around the community. Under her direction, Top Buttons has grown to 3 locations in Polk County, FL, serving more than 300 young women each year in our community. Additionally, Top Buttons now offers opportunities for the mission to expand into other cities around the US through their affiliate program.

We offer our Wearing Confidence Program for young women between 11-25 years old. Participants in this program must be nominated by a civic or religious organization targeting young women in need.

Hundreds of young women nominated from organizations for at risk teen girls (such as PACE Center for Girls, Heartland for Children, Girls Inc, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America) participate in our Wearing Confidence Program receiving thousands of dollars in stylish and properly fitted attire. We are inspiring and equipping young women to present their best self on the job, at school and in life.
