Register for our Gears for good 2024 CYCLING EVENT

 

The ANNUAL Gears for Good Cycling Event was started by Top Buttons to support the programs of Top Buttons. Top Buttons is a 501c3 nonprofit building self-worth inside and out in young women, click here to learn more. As cyclists ride, they are ‘shifting gears’ for good in the lives of some very deserving young women and partnering with us to expand our reach in the years to come.

We are honored to partner with Legoland to Host our Gears for Good Event. The start and end of this event will be held in the parking lot of the Legoland Beach Retreat which is located on the opposite side of Cypress Gardens Boulevard from the Legoland Theme park. The entry and exit to the Beach Retreat is easily accessible and will accommodate our Gears for Good group with ease while offering additional benefits for registrants.

EVENT OVERVIEW

The event will offer 2 route options including a 30-mile and Metric Century with patrol car support, multiple pace groups, and ride captains to keep groups on pace and together. The concept of this ride encourages safe group riding while offering 4 segment challenges to race and then regroup following each segment. Our event is designed for everyone to start and finish together as a group. To ensure the best experience, please choose the pace group that matches your fitness level. If you find it challenging to keep up with your chosen group, our friendly SAG vehicle will assist you and bring you to the next rest stop, where you can easily join a more comfortable pace group.

  • Our event will be fully supported by Police Escorts, SAG/Mechanics & Aid Stations.

  • Every event is designed for each group to “Start together & Finish together”

  • For the safety of our group riding event, only road bikes are allowed.

Each registrant will receive:

  • Gears for Good T-shirt 

    • Must register by October 18th, 2024 to guarantee shirt availability

  • Goodie bags with coupons and gifts from local sponsors 

  • 1 Meal ticket following the event 

  • 1 Raffle ticket for a post-event raffle

The Courtyard by Marriott Winter Haven is located under 2 blocks from the start and finish of the Gears for Good Event. It is also a bike-friendly hotel! Gears for Good Participant Checklist:

1. You can register online until 12pm on Nov 1st. On-site, day of registration is always an option as well. 

2. Pre-order your TB 2024 Kit on the Mumu Top Buttons Team Store. As many of you have requested, we have added the option to purchase kits you may have missed out on! The TB 2022 and  2023 kits are also available for pre-order on the TB team store on the MuMu Site. 

3. Make sure you take a look at the new start location and family-friendly LEGOLAND BEACH RETREAT option with discounted hotel stay and park tickets. 

4. Head on over to 3R Cycling’s site for more about our event details, pace groups, and early packet pick-up. We will offer the TB team store on the Mumu site AND hotel booking links on the 3R site as well as ours.
