Guarded for Greater WCP Event

We recently hosted our Spring 2021 Building Up Girls event! The event theme was “Guarded for Greater” with an emphasis on guarding our hearts, minds, and bodies for God’s greater purposes. We heard from two speakers who spoke into social media safety, the importance of choosing friends wisely, and also how to guard our mental health in light of unhealthy pressures put on us by the world and social media. Attendees also enjoyed the creative expression of spoken word poets and dance.

Each young lady in attendance was treated to a beautiful brunch and also received a program workbook and goody bag with a Top Buttons boutique clothing voucher, a custom “Goal Digger” Top Buttons enamel pin, Top Buttons face masks, and a variety of hygiene items.

It was a fantastic event and we are so grateful for another impactful event with the young women in our Wearing Confidence Program! Our program has been privileged to serve young women from Teen Challenge, One More Child, Landmark Youth, Adelante for Daughters of Migrants, Grow Into You, and New Beginnings High School. Please pray for the young women who receive our services - that they would live in the fullness of who God has created them to be. They are so deeply loved and known by Him!

We are also extremely grateful for our volunteers! Without them, it would be impossible to serve the young women in our Wearing Confidence Program at the level of excellence that we do. These ladies not only serve, but they do so with sweet and humble spirits. We are so thankful that they’ve linked arms with us to build up girls!
