Fall is on its way and I couldn’t be happier. The colder months are approaching and I'm already daydreaming of chunky sweaters, hot chocolate and cozy nights by the fireplace. Here are a few items that I've got my eyes on! 1. I am a huge sweatshirt fan, especially if it has a french saying on it! This Madewell sweatshirt is not only comfy but, stylish enough to wear on an afternoon out with the girls.

2. Mismatched earrings are high up on my must have list for Fall. These earrings from Buckle are edgy, fun and can be styled  several different ways.

3. You can never have enough white and gold in my opinion. I love this J Crew jewelry tray! It's perfect for displaying and organizing my jewelry.

4. I'm a huge fan of leather jackets, they are one of my closet staples. This Zara jacket is ultra edgy and chic.

5. Crossbodys are a girls best friend. They are comfortable and easy to wear no matter where your day takes you. This Rebecca Minkoff is sleek, modern, and classic.

6. I love statement shoes probably just as much as I love a good statement necklace. These leopard Vans are sure to spice up any outfit.

7. Hats are the icing on the cake! This floppy rim fedora from Rag And Bone just screams FAll to me.

8. Neutral eyeshadows are a great foundation to your makeup collection. This Bobbi Brown "Nude On Nude" palette contains twelve gorgeous eyeshadow colors that can be worn day or night.

9. Quality brushes are key to applying your makeup like an expert. This Charlotte Tilbury Powder and Sculpting Brush is excellent for applying highlighter as well as chiseling out your cheekbones with your favorite bronzer.

10. Chunky necklaces are key for Fall. This Modcloth gold necklace is the perfect companion to your favorite sweater.

11. Chilly Fall days call for curling up with a good book and your favorite hot drink. I'm excited for the October launch of Refinery 29's new book Style Stalking. It's promised to be chock full of fabulous street style.

How to Bring a Summer Look into a Fall Style

Full-Look-1-Romper.jpg

 The Summer Romper + Tights

This Romper from Anne Taylor Loft is so comfortable and cute that it shouldn't be put away for next spring.  Why not try a pair of tights to give a little bit more warmth for the cooler weather?  With the romper's classic colors and a simple polkadot, try adding an odd but subtly interesting pair of color tights.

The Summer Romper + a Leather Jacket

Romper and Jacket

With this outfit, a pale orange pair of tights was chosen to bring in the color of this unique rust colored leather jacket.

Pairing your lighter summer outfits with tights, a leather jacket, and EVEN tall boots that are neutral in color - is a great way to pull your summer looks into Fall!

Full Skirts Ahead

It is about that time of year! Before you know it, warm summer days will transform to crisp and cool weather. As for Fall Fashion trends...they are already here! But instead of sending a trench coat your way, ease your way into a garment that will bode well during the transition from one season to the next. We suggest one of Fall Fashion's favorites, full skirts!

Full skirts usually range from above the knee to mid calf but offer an array of styling options. The more popular version of the full skirt hits right above the knee. Below are a few examples (some offer a relaxed look while others are more structured).

If you are not completely satisfied with this particular version of full skirts, try a midi version. "Midi" full skirts can fall to the calf (depending on height). This sister skirt showcases just as much class if not more than the latter [shorter] full skirt, and is just as versatile.

MOTS: Russia Meets Rockford

liza2.jpg

Autumn to me is all about mixing, matching, and just having fun. I love throwing on a sweater over my favorite summer dress, putting on some warm leggings, and wearing my favorite boots. It makes me feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time.

Clothing makes a statement about who I am – about who I want to be. It is a way for me to show the rest of the world how I want to be perceived.

Dress the way you want to be addressed.

In Russia we have a saying “People greet you by your clothing.” That is so true; not just in my culture but in every place.

Have you ever gotten to a point where you wanted to do something, but you were too afraid? It’s the same thing with clothing. It can either be a hit or a miss, but you never know until you try.  So why not try?

When I first meet someone I already have an impression of who they are just by the way they are dressed. Clothing is more then just what I wear; it shows those around me how I view myself, who I believe I AM, and how much worth and value I believe I have. Whether we want to believe it or not, people are still going to make assumptions about who we portray ourselves to be through our clothing. I ask myself daily “Who do I represent through my outfit? What does it say about me, my values, and my standards?”

Sometimes I get lost in what fashion and beauty is. Clothing is something that should be enjoyed. It is meant to make me feel graceful and confident in my own skin. I realize that so many girls now a days forget how much their clothing represents their worth. So think about what you wear. From one girl to another, find the clothing that makes you feel vibrant, alive, and gives not only you but also everyone else a glimpse into your values and your standards.

Love ya,

Liza
