Get Fall Fabulous With These 5 Items

Transitioning your summer wardrobe to fall doesn’t have to be complicated. Although it’s warm outside you can still get into the fall spirit. All you need are a few key items to get you through this tricky in between season. Incorporate these 5 essentials into your daily routine and you will look effortlessly chic in no time. Dark nail polish—We know you’ve been looking for a reason to run to Sephora so here is the perfect excuse! Start transitioning to fall with dark nail polish. OPI's "Lincoln Park " is always a winner every year.

Dark lipstick—While you're at the beauty store make sure to swing by the lipstick section to test out a few berry or plum shades. Nothing screams fall like a bold lip. Try Mac’s “fashion revival.”

Plaid shirt- Fall is pretty much synonymous with plaid right? Once you sport a plaid shirt with a pumpkin spice latte in hand you have officially crossed over into fall territory! We love this shirt from Madewell.

Pointed ballet flats—Instead of reaching for your sandals, opt for a pair of flats. How cute are these leopard ones from Asos? And they are only $33!

A quality bag—Trade in your canvas totes for a great statement bag. A cognac leather bag is on our must have list this season. We are loving this one from Madewell.

You don’t have to wait until the tempature drops to get into the fall spirit. Have fun incorporating these items or similar ones into your everyday look!

Flower Beauty Review

I was thrilled when I heard Drew Barrymore was teaming up with Walmart to launch a new cosmetics line. I love the mission of Flower  which is to provide quality products that you would find in a high end store but, at a fraction of the price. A couple other perks are that all of the  products are made in the USA and they are never tested on animals. The entire line of Flower cosmetics is lovely. Everything from the advertisements to the white and rose gold packaging is beautifully done. I was equally impressed by the color line. The lipsticks, blushes, nail polishes, eyeshadows and liners have colors that are fresh and modern. There were so many products that I wanted to try, it was hard to choose. I decided to start off with four products. I chose two lipsticks and two nail polishes.

I fell in love with the promo poster of Drew Barrymore wearing the high shine lipstick in the color "Rosebud." It looked like a great Fall lipstick color so I decided to purchase it. Rosebud is a bold red lipstick that is rich and creamy with excellent color pay off. I would definitely recommend this color to add to your Fall lipstick collection.

The next lipstick that I purchased was So Gladiola. I have a weakness for coral lipstick so snagging this color was a no brainer for me.

So Gladiola is a matte coral lipstick. The color is fresh and modern and I love it for an everyday lipstick. The formula is a little drying since it is a matte lipstick. I suggest exfloliating and wearing a lip conditioner underneath it. Overall it is a really nice coral lipstick.

I had been wanting to build up my fall nail polish collection so I ended up purchasing Venus Fly Trap and April Showers.

I had been looking for the perfect burgundy nail polish and Venus Fly Trap is definitely a winner. I love the color. It needs at least two coats to achieve the color in the picture above.

April Showers is another excellent dark polish for Fall. In the store the color looked like a dark green color, but once I put the polish on it really is dark blue. In some lighting it actually looks black. Overall, I really like the color and will definitely be wearing it on a regular basis.

I am looking forward to trying out more of the Flower cosmetics line. Some of the products I am interested in trying are the cream eyeshadows, cream blushes, and eyeliners. Styling 101: Weekend Picks

The Summer of long days by the poolside and being school free are coming to an end. Although we are trading our swimwear & fashion forward days for uniforms [some of us business attire] we MUST not give up on our weekends. In other words ladies, we cannot forget that we still have the weekends to dress in remembrance of our carefree days.

So without further ado, we now deem every weekend a reTREAT! Here are two of our favorite -completely different- picks to get your weekend started!

First up is the infamous nautical themed look. We chose to play with the contrasting shades of blue, the lighter hue to brighten the look, and the darker blue to be the root color of the outfit. Add simple studs and fabulous sunnies to complete the head-to-toe style.

 For the second look, we are taking it to the streets (or the mall, dinner, really wherever you like). The tank dress is casual, but the pop of yellow in the sandals and the matching crossbody adds pizzazz! Did we forget to mention this eye-catching China Glaze polish in Caribbean Temptation?!
